When you need care for a few hours...
These are cases that require in home treatment for a few hours.
Eg. Food Poisoning
You ate some food and since then you've been vomiting and having diarrhea.
You are at the point that when you drink any fluids, nothing stays in.
After being assessed, you may be offered IV Fluids (Drip) and medications in your home lasting a few hours if needed and monitored by a Registered Nurse. You would be under the Doctor's supervision for the entire duration.

When you need care overnight...
Some matters require ongoing care through the night and may not necessarily require hospitalization. Just like the above example of IV(in the vein) Rehydration.
Eg. Alcohol Poisoning
Here's another example - you had too much alcohol to drink... And you're really dehydrated, perhaps excessive vomiting. You may possibly need more time to recover.

In-home Nursing Care

Nurses visit for: administration of injections, dressings, monitoring vitals, etc.
If you have an elder who needs extra attention for a few hours or longer, a visiting home nurse may be of help.
The Nurses are all under Doctor's supervision as well and are of the highest standards of professionalism and care.
